In today's highly competitive workforce, students need to be able to integrate and apply 21st century skills, technical knowledge and skills, and core academic knowledge. Crockett ISD Career and Technical Education programs emphasize real-world, real-life skills to prepare students for the globally competitive workforce, post-secondary education, and life. No matter what your career goal, you can pursue it through CTE.

Our goal is to help every student establish their career goals, help students choose a career path, learn job-specific skills and leadership skills to further their hands-on education, and to train students to become successful.

Crockett ISD Vision & Values

CTE Vision:

Crockett ISD CTE graduates have acquired the knowledge and skills necessary to access post-secondary education and become gainfully employed.

CTE Mission:

Crockett ISD CTE students will gain quality career and technical experiences, knowledge and skills through certification leading programs that meet the needs of our community.

CTE Beliefs:

●     We believe that CTE students should be compassionate, confident, and connected. This requires patience with one another, a recognition that everyday is an opportunity to learn, and feel a part of a community of learners that have similar interests.

●     We believe all students should be provided opportunities to secure a livelihood and be productive members of society.

●     We believe our programs should focus on providing quality experiences that provide students with skills necessary to seek gainful employment. These include field experiences, internships, externships, hands on learning, coaching, and virtual learning.

●     We believe that not all students choose to go to college and there are quality careers that do not require a college degree.

●     We recognize that today’s jobs are becoming increasingly technical and require post-secondary training and/or certifications.

●     We believe that all students can benefit from participating in CTE, including students who may struggle in a traditional classroom. CTE is an avenue to becoming career ready for students with diverse backgrounds and learning styles.

●     We believe that students need to be exposed to a variety of career opportunities so that they can make informed decisions about pursuing a career that will be enduring and fulfilling.

●     We believe that partnerships with local industry, businesses, government, and organizations are vital to our mission.

●     We believe that students need positive role models within and outside the school to encourage them to succeed.

●     We believe that parents are an important part of a student’s success and encourage strong partnerships between parents and the school.

●     We believe that CTE programs should be cross-curricular and apply a variety of skills in the classroom.
