Crockett Special Services Mission Statement 

"The Vision of Crockett Special Services is that "all students can achieve"; therefore, we are committed to identifying and meeting the diverse needs of each student through individualized educational programming. It is our mission to work cooperatively with families, students, community, colleagues, and other professionals in order to promote each student's success and well-being as he/she prepares for future endeavors."

The Crockett Independent School District Special Education Department provides a wide variety of special education services to the students of the district.

Approximately 30 teachers, instructional paraprofessionals, speech pathologists, and related service personnel provide instructional and related services to students who have a disability. Students are eligible for special education services from the age of 3 through 21. Students with hearing and/or vision disabilities may receive services from birth.

To be eligible for special education services, students must meet eligibility requirements as a student with orthopedic impairment, other health impairment, auditory impairment, visual impairment, diagnosis of deaf/blind, mental retardation, emotional disturbance, learning disability, speech impairment, multiple disabilities, autism, non-categorical early childhood, or traumatic brain injury and demonstrate an educational need for special education services.

Crockett ISD special education instructional arrangements include various levels of inclusive support, speech therapy, and other related services. Preschool Programs for Children with Disabilities (PPCD), adaptive behavior, LIFE Skills classes, basic and functional academic classes,  and the vocational adjustment class are offered at select campuses.
